C-JEL – Style Guide Template
- Title of Chapter is written in initial caps and emboldened (e.g. The Language of Social Interaction)
- Names of Author(s): Italicise (e.g. Simon Peter)
- Main heading style in bold (e.g. 1.0 Introduction and Background)
- Title of sub heading: Do not embolden (e.g. 1.1 Social Interaction)
- Further sub heading: Italicise (e.g. 1.1.1 Online interaction modes)
- Main font is Times New Roman 13
- New paragraph requires 0.5 first line tab.
- Put only one space between the end of a section and a heading, and between a heading and a new section.
- For in-text citation, authors and dates are separated by one single space (no comma needed) (e.g Simon & Peter 2015).
- Please add page numbers after the colon for direct quotations. (e.g. 2005: 178).
- Please indent examples from the data as in this example. Please also do this for quotations of 30 words or more. Indented text/examples should be Times New Roman E.g We the Jama’atuAhlisunnahLidda’awatiWal-Jihad are MUSLIMS and are from the NORTHERN part of the country who spent eight years agitating for Islamic state, striving to bring back the lost glory of Uthman Dan Fodio.
- Please use commas to separate between multiple authors. Sort these alphabetically. (e.g Kwame 2006, Precious 2010)
- Write Acknowledgements (if wanted), after Conclusion.
